Classroom Information
Language Arts

Grammar-  This week we will work with subject and object pronouns, and we will prcative using hyphens and colons.

 

 Reading-

We will continue reading The People of Sparks as a class.

Writing-

Spelling and Handwriting-

Social Studies

We will read about the cattle kingdom and the Plians Wars with the Native Americans.

Mathematics

We will practice balancing equations, translating word descriptions into algebraic expressions, and use "What's My Rule?" with algebraic expressions. We will also represent rates with formulas, tables and graphs. We will have some short quizzes every few days over the lessons that we have covered, but there will be no more major math tests.

This Week's Activities

This week we will discuss what rainforest products we found at our homes, talk about the carbon and nitrogen cycles, discuss problems and solutions in the rainforest, and role play different points of view about a rainforest dam project.
