St. Paul’s Disciple Camp

Please mark your calendars!  St. Paul’s Disciple Camp will be held  from 9:00 to Noon on June 25 through June 29th and is designed for 3-year-olds and up!

Chocolate Bar fundraiser

The chocolate sales are going very well!  So far we have sold 29% of the bars we have purchased.   Please continue to check out cases or half cases either by contacting Debbie Bennett or Yvonne in the front office.  The sales incentives include a free dress day per case sold and a free candy bar.  For half-cases sold  the student seller will receive a free candy bar .

Important Announcements
Show and Tell will be on Friday.  Please help your child find an age appropriate joke.  We will share our jokes at show and tell time.

Weekly Learning Experiences

Math
In math, we will be playing “What’s My Rule?” games with pairs of numbers that are related to each other according to a specified rule.  The children will infer what that rule is by examining pairs of numbers that are related according to the rule and then demonstrate their reasoning by generating additional pairs of numbers that follow the same rule.

Reading
The children will be working in reading groups.  If your child receives a reader in a plastic bag, please return the reader to school when he or she has read through it a few times.

Sight Words/Spelling
This week, we will be working on the following sight words: today, try, such, and table.

Spelling Words: slam, plum, skip, spin, grin, and frog.

IB Unit of Inquiry
We will continue working on our IB unit focusing on community helpers.  The children will be discussing different types of occupations.
