Hearing Screening
We will be doing hearing screening tests this week for all students in 1st, 3rd, and 5th grades, all PreKindergaten and Kindergarten students, and any students in 2nd or 4th grades who are new to St. Paul's this year. Chris Treadwell, who is certified to give the tests, will be administering the tests beginning Wednesday afternoon. You will be notified by letter if your child needs further screening by a professional audiologist. |

IB in Action
Attitude of the Week ~ Respect
~ To honor and care for yourself and the people and things around you ~
Taking Action ~ Encouraging students to go beyond the classroom learning is a key component of the International Baccalaureate Curriculum. Successful inquiry should lead to responsible action, initiated by the student as a result of the learning process. It is our hope that our students will be able to choose when action is necessary and then act on that decision. While this sometimes involves community service, it is not limited to that. Effective action demonstrates a sense of responsibility and respect for self, others, and the environment. Next to the office is a piece of paper showing student actions. We would love to add to that and see it grow throughout the year. If you notice your child demonstrating action at home, please let us know so that we can add it to our wall.

What is Discovery Fair?
On Friday, the fourth graders will present their Discovery Fair projects to parents and to students in grades 1 through 3. Discovery Fair is a research based project in which students choose a topic that interests them and research to discover more about that topic. This year's topics range from Hawaii to Pokemon and many things in between. Come see what the fourth graders have discovered any time during the day on Friday. Their presentation boards will be on display in the Parish Hall. |
