When you are dropping off or picking up at carpool, please remain in your car so that we can keep the lines moving. If you must get out of your car to come into the school, please pull into a parking space. Do not leave your car unattended in the carpool line. |

IB in Action
Each week in the Monday Morning Memo, we'll bring you a little picture of how our classes are using the IB curriculum. This week, we're pleased to report that 9 teachers attended IB training throughout the summer. Debbie Bennett, Susan Cleveland, Becky Hankins, Sherrell Huff, and Shelly Negrete attended Level One Training where they learned the theories and standard practices of the IB program. Jamie Burnett and Leah Delafield attended Level Two Inquiry Training. They took what they learned and presented it to the teachers during In-Service. You can see some of the work the teachers did hanging in the Parish Hall this week. Melisa Bennett and Hilary Gardner attended Level Three Early Childhood Training and brought back many ideas for incorporating the IB program into our pre-primary classes.
We are also excited to announce that our Three Year Olds will begin incorporating elements of the IB curriculum in their class this year. They will have four units, families, celebrations, light and dark, and food. If you have any ideas for these new units, please feel free to share them with us. |
