Personal Info:  Music has filled my life forever, from the music-filled home in Georgia where I grew up to the present day listening to my son, Ben, creating music on the piano, guitar, and leading a worship band. My husband, Jeter, teaches in the religion department at Baylor.  Besides being involved with music programs in the community, I enjoy working in music and mission activities at First Baptist Church, attending Baylor sporting events, reading, and traveling.

Education Information:  I have Bachelor of Arts degrees in music and in sociology from Mercer University in Georgia and a Master of Arts degree in Religious Education including master level music study.  I continue to learn more about teaching children music through continuing education in music clinics and courses each year.

Professional Info:   Since 1996, I have been the music teacher at St. Paul’s.  Prior to this school,  I was a substitute teacher for many years in Dallas, Grand Prairie, and Midway ISD.  Prior to moving to Waco, I taught piano, organ, theory and clarinet in my private studio for eighteen years. During these years I was an active member of Texas Music Teachers Association and Federated Music Clubs.  I am a member of Texas Music Educators Association, Choristers Guild, and Central Texas Orff Assocation.
