Citing Internet Sources

Things to know about Sources:

Google and all other search engines are not acceptable references!!!! You do not get any information about your subject from this site. Google serves only to direct you to sites on which you will find information and which you may include in your bibliography.
If you use more than one article from the same encyclopedia, that's great, but the encyclopedia only counts as one source. You can use several different encyclopedias and they would count as separate sources, but four articles from one encyclopedia still only count as one source.
You may only use 3 websites!!!

Annotated Bibliography Example

Things to Remember for your Annotated Bibliography:

Alphabetize all sources by the author's last name (or the first word of the source, excluding a, an, and the)
Hanging Indent your sources (first line 0" - Hanging Indent .5") [Format - Paragraph]
Indent the whole annotation .5" [Format - Paragraph]
Always use 3rd person [he, she, it, they, them, him, her - not I, us, we, or you]
Double space or use 1.5 line spacing [Format - Paragraph - Spacing]
Turn off automatic hyperlinking [Tools - AutoCorrect]
Use only 1 city - either the first on the list or the one closest to where we live.
Put only 1 space after each period in your source. This is a new change to what most bibliography sources say.
Choose either underlining or italics for titles and use it throughout.
Dates should be typed as 2 Feb. 2003 not February 2, 2003.
It is acceptable and smart in your annotation to say that this website or book provides ideas of other resources as well.
Annotations should be at least three sentences long.
