Part of our strong academic program includes a focus on real-world knowledge.
Students of all ages are able to gain understanding of the inner workings of a city through the St. Paul’s City initiative. Each grade level runs a specific business,
and all students are taught how to use each business. |

Sixth Grade – St. Paul’s News & KSPW radio – The sixth grade class publishes a monthly newspaper with news, sports, entertainment, and advertisements geared toward our students. Each afternoon, members of the sixth grade class deliver the afternoon announcements along with interesting information. |
| |
Fifth Grade – St. Paul’s Bank – The fifth graders create money, called Paulers, distribute bi-weekly paychecks, and manage checking accounts for all 3rd-6th grade students. The bank is open weekly for students to deposit or withdraw money. |
| |
Fourth Grade – Bookstore & Magazine – Fourth graders collect and sell used books several times each year. They also collect magazine subscriptions to create a school wide magazine. |
| |
Third Grade – Chamber of Commerce – The third grade class runs the elections for city council, holds ribbon cutting ceremonies for business grand openings, leads the pledge each morning, and collects taxes on paydays. |
| |
Second Grade – Flea Market – Our second graders manage a flea market, selling booths to students to sell the product or service of their choice. They offer booth advertising for an additional fee. |
| |
First Grade – Post Office – The first graders sell stamps and deliver mail each Friday. Anyone can use our mail service, including parents. |
| |
Kindergarten – Kinder Kafe – About every six weeks, the kindergarten class opens a restaurant selling popular items such as popcorn, cupcakes, and chocolate quesadillas. Often the Kafe is open for special holidays. |
| |
Pre-Kindergarten – Beautification Society – The pre-kindergarteners search the school weekly for the cleanest classroom and award the coveted White Glove Award to the winner. They also plant flowers to keep our entry way beautiful year round. |
| |
Three Year Olds – Safety Committee – Each year the three year olds remind us about fire safety, making sure we all know how to stop, drop, and roll. |
