IB Units |
You’re Invited! ~ Families recognize important personal and cultural events through celebrations and traditions. |
| |
All in the Family ~ We belong to a family and our families are special to us. |
| |
Turn on the Light ~ The world around us looks different in the light and in the dark. |
| |
Harvest Time ~ Animals and humans share the same food supply. |
Learning Experiences |
Color and Shape of the Week ~ As we move through the year, we focus on one color and one shape each week. Students learn not only to recognize the color and shape, but to recognize the written word of that color and shape as well. |
| |
Centers ~ Center activities offer the students opportunities to explore the current unit of study in a hands-on manner. The centers include dramatic play, math, science, and language activities. |
| |
Circle Time ~ During circle time, students are introduced to measurement concepts, such as calendar time and weather. Students practice taking turns to speak and listening skills during this time as well. Music plays an key role in the three year old class. Many concepts are taught through song and other songs are incorporated just for fun.
It is important for three year olds to see adults reading, so the teachers read many books to the students. Most of these books are related to the current unit of study. |
Our Role in St. Paul's City |
The three year olds serve as the fire safety committee for St. Paul’s City. Each year, they remind students how to stop, drop, and roll. |
